In the Recent Event at Hyderabad,Gionee Launched launched their new smartphone “Gionee Elife S7”.

Gionee has been recently making slim smartphones like anything,Gionee S7 was launched at MWC 2015 prior to this launch. The smartphone looks slim with a thickness of 5.5mm.The Elife S7 is priced at Rs.24,999 will be hitting the shelves in a week with Black,White and Blue Colors.

The company president Mr.William Lu explained why? this smartphone is not slimmer than its predeccesor and Quoted “We believe Elife S7 will bring the future of slim smartphones to the next level. To make ever-slimmer phones, compromising on performance and function is pointless. Manufacturers should offer more features benefiting user experience other than just slimness,” Lu had said.

Gionee Elife S7-Design and BuildQuality

Gionee Elife s7 features corning gorilla glass at front and back of the device. The device has U shaped curve design which  the company claims that will help in better gripping of the device.

Inspite of the curved design ,we dont see any camera bulge in this device which the company proudly says that it is the thinnest camera module in the world. The device comes with beautiful bezels, left side of the device features a two sim slot both support LTE.The device design isn’t a head-turner, but it definitely looks premium, sleek and feels very light to hold. Dipped in black, white and blue colors, it measures 139.8 x 67.4 x 5.5 mm.

The Elife sports a full HD 5.2inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass at both the ends with a PPI of 424 pixel density. The viewing  angles are good for a Amoled screen color reproduction looks Ok

The Gionee Elife S7 runs the new Amigo 3.0 user interface, which is based on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop iteration. Interestingly, it comes with the Chameleon mode that picks a colour from a picture that you’ve shot and applies it to the phone’s interface. You won’t find a dedicated app drawer and all the apps are scattered on the homepage.

The Gionee Elife S7 comes with a 13MP rear snapper and also plans to woo selfie lovers with its 8MP front-facing camera. We tried taking some shots using the rear camera and they came out to be good and pretty detailed. Some photos appeared oversaturated. Though, it could also be because of the light conditions here. We couldn’t test the camera’s low light abilities, which we could do once the device reaches our test labs. Gionee claims 500ms of capture time and 300ms of focus time, which should be very fast. We did find tap to focus to be very quick.

Specs and Performance

The Gionee elife smartphone is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor, each core clocked at 1.7GHz. It is also coupled with 2GB RAM. In India, it is available with 16GB onboard storage. It comes with 27000mAh Battery. The company hasn’t announced its 32GB variant here and there is also no option for microSD card slot. In our limited testing of the smartphone, we found it to be very quick and there were no lags. However, it may possibly change with prolonged usage of the device and heavy multitasking.

The Device actually looks stunning but when it comes to gaming the device heats a bit due to glass at both the ends .The Os maintains the thermal stability to major extent. The device is pretty much a fancy phone when it comes to the performance
